Delete your SIPLX account

This removes your account and its contents straight away. It cannot be undone.

Deleted immediately

  • Your email address, display name and profile picture
  • Your password, and any link to a Google account
  • Your snippets and their text
  • Your trigger phrases and folders
  • Everything synced between your devices
  • Your membership of every team
  • All active sign-ins, on every device

Kept

  • Snippets you chose to leave with a team. They stay in that team and remain usable by its members.
  • Teams you own, which pass to another member — see below.
  • One anonymised record, for 30 days. Your row in our database survives with everything identifying stripped out — no email, no name, no password — and is removed after 30 days.

Why one record stays. Two reasons, both practical. Content that other people still use — snippets you left with a team — has to belong to something in the database, and it is attached to that empty record rather than to you. And because the address is not released immediately, nobody else can register it the moment you leave and inherit anything that still points at it. The record holds no personal information and cannot be signed in to, and it is removed 30 days after you delete the account.

If you own a team

Ownership moves to someone else so the team keeps working:

  1. The member you nominated as successor, if you named one and they are still in the team.
  2. Otherwise, whoever joined earliest.
  3. If you are the only member left, the team is dissolved and its snippets are deleted with it.

The next step shows you exactly who each of your teams will go to, before anything happens.

Leaving snippets with a team

By default, snippets you added to a team stay there. Leaving them grants that team continued use of them — that is a permission you are giving, not just data we are keeping. If you would rather take them with you, tick the box below and they are deleted along with everything else. Any images attached to a snippet always follow the snippet itself.

Also delete the snippets I left with my teams. Leave this unticked to let those teams keep using them.

Signed in with Google?

Accounts created through Google have no password to re-enter here. Delete those from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.

Never created an account?

If you have only ever used SIPLX without signing in, there is nothing here to delete — your snippets are on your device and never reached us. Uninstalling the app removes them.
